Aerial View of McDonald’s Demolition Near Disney’s All-Star Resort at Walt Disney World

What was originally billed as a refurbishment has morphed into a full-scale demolition of the only remaining McDonald’s at Walt Disney World. While our last look from the ground provided a sneak peek at the demolition, we recently took to the skies above Walt Disney World to get a better vantage point for various projects around property.

As you can see in the photos below, the structure has seen a considerable portion demolished. As you might remember, the area demolished so far was the entrance and guest seating area. It’ll be interesting to see if the rest of the structure gets leveled, or if McDonald’s will elect to keep the kitchen and drive-thru area.

Here’s a look back at the space before it closed in late-October.

McDonald’s is scheduled to reopen next year after an (obviously) extensive amount of work.

    1. As long as you keep at least one wall standing it is considered a remodel, which is a different permitting process as opposed to a new build.
