We recently took to the skies over Walt Disney World for a birds-eye view of various construction projects. From the Star Wars hotel to backstage work for the new HarmonioUS nighttime show coming to Epcot, there is a lot to see from the airspace above Walt Disney World. Today, we have a new look for you at the soon-to-open Disney’s Riviera Resort. As you’ll see in the photos below, the resort appears to be nearly ready ahead of its December opening date.

The sprawling parking lot dominates the eastern end of the resort, while the western end is reserved for the Disney Skyliner gondola station that can take guests to either Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Epcot.

Here’s a closer look at the porte cochere as well as the concept art for the same.

As we were flying over the resort, we could get a glimpse at the two pools that guests will be able to use during their stay.

Finally, here’s a flatter view of the resort, with Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the background. Disney has marketed the rooftop dining location as a wonderful spot to watch fireworks from both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news and photos from around the Disney Parks!
