24 Hours of Progress on Turret Painting Highlights Efficiency of Cinderella Castle Royal Makeover at Magic Kingdom

It seems almost impossible to believe, but we’re just 24 hours removed from the first Cinderella Castle turret receiving a coat of paint. We say it’s hard to believe because as we walked down Main Street USA this morning we noticed that the vast majority of turrets had been painted in just one days worth of work!

Crews are forced to paint during daylight hours as the paint won’t dry properly overnight which has led to some less than desirable family photos, but by the afternoon the cranes are typically down and photos can resume. There’s no doubt that the speed we’ve seen the scenics paint at has to do with the desire to get the cranes out of photos as quickly as possible and resume entertainment on the Cinderella Castle stage.

Here’s a look at the progress in just 24 hours!

    1. It’s more than 24 hours, though. I was there on March 8th and all of the painting was being done then too
