Flurry of Permits Filed for Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge

A flurry of new permits has been filed with the county by Walt Disney Imagineering for Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge.

The permits, which were signed off on by Imagineering on April 2nd, cover a variety of different segments of the project including:

  • Table Service Restaurant
  • Bus Stop and Covered Walkway
  • Security Kiosk
  • Transportation Dock
  • Pool Restroom building
  • Outdoor structures

While construction has been halted due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, paperwork seems to be moving along in anticipation of getting back to work. The permits all have an expiration date of April 2021.

We’ve also seen the defunding of some projects to get other projects across the finish line during these tough economic times, but it appears that Reflections (a Disney Vacation Club property) is still continuing on right now.

We first noticed permits for Reflections back in March 2018, and Disney confirmed the project in October 2018.

We’ve also provided photo updates from the demolition of the old River Country site to the demolition of Mickey’s Backyard BBQ.

As you can see in the permit below, there will be massive impacts to the Fort Wilderness area as a result of Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge. For more on the layout you see below, check out our overview post.
