No Planned Reopening Date for Disneyland Hotel

While the recent Disney announcement about plans to reopen the theme parks, hotels, and Downtown Disney were fairly broad, there was one glaring omission – the Disneyland Hotel.

In the announcement, Disney proposed a reopening date for two out of the three hotels on Disneyland Resort property. Pending governmental approval, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney Vacation Club Villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are planned to reopen to guests and members starting on July 23.

Missing from the announcement was any plans to reopen the Disneyland Hotel. With no reason given as to why Disneyland Hotel was left out of the announcement, only speculation remains. Of course, there is going to be a lot of construction in the coming months with the addition of a new Disney Vacation Club tower, but that shouldn’t mean that the Disneyland Hotel can’t reopen. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the situation and report any reasoning from Disney as to why the iconic Disneyland Hotel was left out of the announcement.
