Disneyland has announced that a limited-edition Trader Sam’s Jack Skellington mug from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is releasing at the Disneyland Resort on Tuesday, October 20th. The mug costs $75, and guests purchase it through mobile order in the Disneyland app. Orders open as early as 6:00am, and guests pick them up at the Disneyland Hotel between 9:00am and 3:00pm. Trader Sam’s at the Disneyland Hotel is celebrating Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas with a collectible Jack Skellington mug. Disney says the release takes place on October 20th, and mobile order in the Disneyland app is the only way to buy one. Guests pick up their mugs at the Disneyland Hotel during a set window that day.
Jack Skellington Mug Design and Price
As pictured, the mug has a sculpted gray body with ghostly figures and characters from the film along its sides. A red base that resembles a stitched sack anchors the bottom of the vessel. In the mirror behind the mug, we can see Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws.
The mug costs $75, and Disney says the price does not include tax. Each guest gets one transaction, with a limit of 2 mugs per transaction. Because the mug is a limited-edition collectible, you’ll want to make sure that you’re ready to purchase through the app right at 6:00am.
Mobile Order, Parking, and Pickup Details
Guests place orders in the Disneyland app and pick an available arrival window before heading to the Disneyland Resort. Orders open as early as 6:00am on October 20th, and pickup runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Only the registered Disneyland app user can pick up the order, so that person needs a valid ID and must be at least 21 years old.
Complimentary parking at the Pixar Pals parking structure begins at 8:00am. Guests show proof of their mug purchase to the Cast Member at the structure to receive the free parking. It’s a nice perk for a one-day release.
Once guests arrive, the pickup steps are short:
- Go to the Disneyland Hotel Rose Court Garden during the arrival window
- Tap “I’m Here” in the Disneyland app
- Check in with a Cast Member after the app sends a notification that the order is ready
Disney may cancel and refund orders that guests do not pick up during the pickup window. Mugs will not be available for pickup at Trader Sam’s after the event ends.
