Even in the midst of a pandemic, hurricane season is in full force here in Florida and local meteorologists are tracking the first potential storm of the season that could have a significant impact on Florida.
Tropical Cyclone Nine is currently located over 1,500 miles southeast of the Walt Disney World area. The latest predictions from the National Weather Service have the Central Florida area feeling the impacts of tropical storm force winds on Saturday, with the arrival of the storm currently predicted to take place Sunday into Monday.
As with any tropical storm or hurricane, the exact path will likely vary from these early predictions, but if you have an upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, know that you could experience more wind and rain than normal.
We’ll continue to track Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine and provide any updates from the Walt Disney World Resort as they are announced. As of right now, operations are scheduled to continue as normal.
