Disney World Union Announces No Part-Time Attractions or Custodial Cast Members Will Be Laid Off

Disney World union Local 362 said that Disney has informed them that there will be no layoffs of part-time attractions Cast Members or custodial Cast Members.

This news comes after the full-time displacement process where full-time workers were able to move to other positions instead of being laid off from their current position if it was being lost. During the displacement process, it was possible that a full-time Cast Member would be able to bump a part-time Cast Member out of their position and lead to a layoff for the part-time Cast Member. As it turns out, this didn’t happen in the attractions and custodial classifications. Information about other positions was not given, but more will be finalized on or before November 1st.
