Disney has offered a public notice about their fireworks testing scheduled to take place tonight, November 16th. In the notice, Disney calls the testing “routine” and says that it will take place between 10pm and midnight.
Disney made sure to note that fireworks performances and other nighttime spectaculars remain temporarily unavailable until further notice.
We will be conducting some routine fireworks testing around different areas of Magic Kingdom Park this Monday night, Nov. 16, from 10 p.m. to midnight. We will do our best to keep noise at a minimum and apologize to our neighbors and Guests for this late-night inconvenience.
As a reminder, fireworks performances and other nighttime spectaculars in our parks remain temporarily unavailable until further notice.
The “routine” test could be to ensure that new elements installed as part of a “Project Nugget” update to the main Magic Kingdom fireworks launch are functional.
