Disney World Begins Dismantling Culturally Insensitive Portions of Adventureland Sign at Magic Kingdom

As part of their Diversity & Inclusion initiative, Disney has begun dismantling portions of the Adventureland sign deemed culturally insensitive. Elements removed include shields and masks – something we’ve seen removed at Jungle Cruise as well.

Here’s a look back at the Adventureland sign design before the work began.

And here’s a look at the area today, with shields on the ground removed and some elements ripped off of the upper right portion of the area as well.

Finally, here’s a detailed look at some elements that may be removed soon.
