Following a BlogMickey.com article outlining rather strong (and much needed) wording addressing the verbal abuse of Cast Members, Disneyland has updated their website to soften their stance on the matter.
Here is a screenshot of the page as BlogMickey.com found it on April 16, 2021:
And here’s the updated wording, removing all references to Cast Members:
It’s a disappointing change given the verbal abuse and rudeness that we’ve seen in the Walt Disney World theme parks towards Cast Members. There was even an instance of a guest spitting on a Cast Member after that Cast Member asked them to follow the posted face covering policies.
In our original article we had hoped that Walt Disney World would adopt the same policy, but it turns out Disney went the other way and softened the Disneyland policy instead.
Disneyland opens today, April 30th.

I’m wondering if it’s not really softer but gives Disney the right to ask people to leave if they are using abusive language toward cast members OR other guests? Could then be a broader spectrum to cover everyone, including the wonderful cast members.
I too am confused. It doesn’t say you can use abusive language towards cast members. It seems to be expanding abusive language to include towards ANYONE, not just cast members, as it was beforre.
