If you’re a Resort Guest or Regular Ticket holder visiting Walt Disney World in May, re-check your dates as Disney has replenished most dates next month. Historically, we don’t necessarily attribute more Disney Park Passes with an increase in capacity. With the recent news that Disney is automatically canceling Disney Park Passes not tied to a valid admission ticket, it’s possible the refilling of Park Passes that we’re seeing could be related to that.
Of course, a new executive order from the Orange County Mayor also gives Disney some validation to move to 3ft physical distancing instead of the current 6ft. When Disney reduces physical distancing protocols, it will effectively double theme park capacity and maybe even get us to a number (50-70% capacity) that will signal a return to normal crowd levels given daily historical average attendance figures. For more on capacity, check out our earlier article.
