Orange County Florida Reduces Physical Distancing Guidelines to 3ft, Paving Way for Disney World Capacity Increase

Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced physical distancing requirements have been relaxed from 6ft to 3ft, effective immediately.

This new minimum standard could pave the way for Disney World and other theme parks within Orange County to relax physical distancing within their theme parks – effectively doubling their current capacity restrictions.

Other points of the updated executive order are in alignment with the new outdoor mask guidelines recently released by the CDC.

As of publish time, Walt Disney World has not changed any of their policies to reflect the new guidelines from the county. Demings has said that he has been in contact with theme parks, and said that “they are able to increase capacity as a result [of relaxed physical distancing rules]”.
