According to Disney, they have begun to relax some of their previous COVID-19 safety procedures surrounding self-serve beverage stations. New wording on the Walt Disney World website shows that self-serve beverage stations are just the latest COVID-19 safety measure to disappear.
Here’s a look at the old wording:
- Self-Serve Changes: Beverages and other items that were previously self-serve are now served by Cast Members instead.
Here’s a look at the updated wording, showing that guests are able to once again refill their own mugs and cups at self-serve stations:
- Self-Serve Changes: Some self-serve beverage stations—which allow for Guests to fill and refill their own beverages—are available at select quick-service restaurants located in Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Resort hotels. Locations may vary.
As we noted earlier, this is just the latest change that Disney has made to relax their COVID-19 safety protocols at their theme parks and resorts. Previously, Disney changed their photo policies to allow for guests to remove their face masks while taking a photo. Since then, Disney has removed hand washing stations from their parks and resorts.
