Disney World is in the process of restoring their trash can lids to a pre-COVID state. As you might know, Disney either removed or propped open trash can lids to prevent guests from needing to make contact with the lids to throw away trash. Now, Disney is in the process of reinstalling or releasing the lids to their pre-COVID state.
A few resorts around property have had their lids restored in the past few weeks, and Disney will continue to restore the trash cans in their theme parks and resorts.
As you can see below, safety stickers will remain installed.
