While the vast majority of character interactions no longer have physical distancing limitations, that isn’t the case in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While visiting the park earlier today, we spoke with managers who indicated that physical distancing restrictions are still in place for characters in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge despite being removed just about everywhere else on Walt Disney World property today.

Characters might be seen walking through the land to get to their physically distanced meeting locations, and hugs or high-fives might take place at the discretion of the character, but roaming is not allowed and physical distancing is largely still in place. Essentially, a barrier of some sort is still required between guests and characters.
