Select Cast Members have been given an opportunity to sign up for a preview of the Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana interactive walkthrough experience at EPCOT. The previews will take place July 25th and run through August 19th for salaried Cast Members. General Cast Member previews are also likely to occur during this extended preview period or shortly thereafter. We’ve previously noted that the construction on the attraction has been functionally complete for some time now. It’ll be interesting to see if Disney simply waits to debut the attraction on the October 1st anniversary of the park, or if it’ll open to guests sometime in the waning days of summer.
The World Nature experience will allow guests to take a self-guided walk through lush gardens that demonstrate the cycle of water through the lens of the Moana IP. Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana was announced at the 2019 D23 Expo and is scheduled to open this Fall at EPCOT. Here’s how Disney describes the experience:
Where Water Comes to Life
Stroll along a self-guided outdoor trail where you can play and interact with water as it travels from the sky to the oceans and back again. Along the way, learn about the importance of water and discover its playful personality—just as Moana did on her heroic voyage.
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana is scheduled to open within World Nature—the EPCOT neighborhood dedicated to understanding and preserving the beauty and balance of the natural world.
