Frontierland is going green, or, at least, a corner of it. On a recent visit to Magic Kingdom, we stopped by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to check in on the latest progress and found the former Splash Mountain facade quite a bit greener than the last time we visited. Since our last visit, more flowers and greenery has been added to the top of the salt dome, and more work has been completed on the Bald Cypress trees at the front of the ride, although work on the trees is not yet complete.
Here’s a look at the latest progress on the exterior of the facade. For a sneak peek inside, check out our earlier article.
As you can see in the next two photos below, the left side of the facade has not been touched during the retheming, and now looks quite out of place compared to the rest of the front of the attraction – almost as if it’s stuck in time. We’ll have to keep an eye on it to see if Imagineers fix that or if they want to keep it as is.
