New Era of Disney Park Pass System Begins Today for Disney World Annual Passholders

Today marks the start of a new era of the Disney Park Pass theme park reservation system for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. First introduced in Summer 2020, the Disney Park Pass system began as a tool for Disney to manage capacity during the phased reopening of its theme parks following the COVID-19 closures.

When the Park Pass system first debuted, everyone who visited the theme park would need to make a reservation in addition to holding a valid ticket for any given day. Then, Disney World started rolling out ticket deals in Summer 2023 that didn’t require a Disney Park Pass reservation. Recently, Disney World dropped all Disney Park Pass reservation requirements for date-based tickets. That said, the system will remain in place for Annual Passholders.

Starting today, a new era of the Park Pass system is now in effect with the first “Good-to-Go” day. Good-to-go days are select days when Passholders may visit a Walt Disney World theme park without needing a theme park reservation (subject to pass blockout dates and capacity limitations).

While we think that “Good-to-Go” days are rather pointless, it will be interesting to see how Disney utilizes them to manage Annual Passholder access to the theme parks.

Guests can see whether or not a specific date is “Good-to-Go” by checking the Annual Passholder admissions calendar.

Disney World had previously announced that a “Good-to-Go” day would be displayed on the My Disney Experience app homepage, but that doesn’t seem to be the case as of this morning. However, if you visit the Disney Park Pass page, it does have a message that some guests may not require a theme park reservation today.
