UPDATE (9:45am): Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has opened following a 45-minute delayed opening. Our original article continues below.
For the second day in a row, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has failed to open with the rest of Magic Kingdom. The delayed opening is just the latest example of the higher-than-usual unreliability of the attraction. Yesterday, the attraction experienced more than 2.5 hours of downtime before opening up for Annual Passholders with a Virtual Queue Boarding Group.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure utilizes the same ride track as Splash Mountain before it, but it looks like it did receive upgraded ride system components and, obviously, much more advanced Audio-Animatronics. It’s not currently known what is causing the extensive downtime for the attraction.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will continue to host previews, including a paid D23 preview, up until the attraction’s June 28th grand opening. We’re hopeful that Disney is able to sort out the issues before opening day, but continued unreliability at this point is not a good sign.
