Annual Passholder “Good-to-Go” dates have returned after being paused during the month of June. Today, Walt Disney World added 8 “Good-to-Go” dates to the calendar through July 29th. The last “Good-to-Go” date was May 29th.
The addition of “Good-to-Go” dates indicates that attendance levels of Annual Passholders are expected to be low, and have a negligible impact on the overall crowd levels at the theme parks on that day. In short, a “Good-to-Go” date is a carrot to dangle in front of Passholders, enticing them to come out to the parks.
For some time now, Summer months have not been very busy at Walt Disney World, and the addition of “Good-to-Go” dates this July, combined with a number of other factors such as ticket deals and hotel discounts, suggests that the summer will continue to be “slow”. Of course, “slow” is a relative term, but we don’t expect wait times to be setting any records this year.
Here’s a look at the recent changes:
July 2024 Passholder “Good-to-Go” Dates
On the following dates, Annual Passholders can visit any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks at any point in the day without the need for a Disney Park Pass theme park reservation:
- July 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 21, 28, 29
Good-to-go days will be added periodically. Good-to-go days may be released days or weeks in advance.
If a Passholder has an upcoming theme park reservation that becomes a good-to-go day, they will still be able to view their previous reservation in the My Plans section in My Disney Experience, but the reservation will be removed and no longer count against their maximum reservation hold.
As a reminder, Good-to-Go Days are days when Annual Passholders will not be required to make a Disney Park Pass reservation to visit the Walt Disney World theme parks. On all other days, Passholders are required to make reservations if they wish to visit any theme park before 2pm, or Magic Kingdom on the weekends.
That said, we’re not fans of the Good-to-Go Days system, and think it’s quite pointless in its current implementation. It would be much better if Disney World was able to make something like 70-80% of days throughout the year “Good-to-Go” while requiring Park Pass reservations during the busiest few weeks of the year.
