Bluey’s Wild World has officially opened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, one day ahead of its announced May 26th debut. The experience takes over Conservation Station, transforming the Rafiki’s Planet Watch destination into a playful, interactive show area built around the beloved Heeler family. We were there for the opening, and here’s a full look at what guests can expect.

Getting There: Wildlife Express Train to Conservation Station

To reach Bluey’s Wild World, guests board the Wildlife Express Train from Harambe Station, riding out to Conservation Station. The theming starts before you even arrive – the train’s audio has been updated to feature Bluey characters, setting the tone for the experience ahead.

For today’s soft opening, Bluey’s Wild World is operating with a standby queue; no virtual queue required. That changes tomorrow. Beginning May 26th, the Virtual Queue will be in place, covering the full package: the train ride, Bluey’s Wild World itself, Jumping Junction, and the Animal Care experiences at Conservation Station. There will be two daily windows to join, at 7:00am and 10:00am, through the My Disney Experience app. At 7:00am, guests do not need to be inside the park yet to join. At 10:00am, valid park admission is required, and guests must already be inside Animal Kingdom.

The Bluey Dance Party & Games Experience at Animal Kingdom

The experience is built around interactive games and activities inspired by fan-favorite Bluey episodes, all given an animal-themed twist. Keepy Uppy, reimagined as butterfly keepy uppy, is one of the featured games. Magic Asparagus also makes an appearance.

In order to experience the Bluey’s Wild World show, guests will queue up in front of Conservation Station. From there, the queue continues indoors as waves of guests move through the Bluey’s Wild World show. When we visited today, guests in the queue could see the show itself. That’s a bit odd for Disney, which typically prefers more of a reveal than that. We’re told that solutions are on the way.

Once it’s your turn, guests can fill into the area around a small stage where the host of the show will take us through a number of games. Bluey and Bingo are there, of course, to play along as they roam around the toddler mosh pit.

Games include the Magic Asparagus, which magically turns guests into animals. The next game is Copycat Charades, where guests act out animals. Mums and Dads sees little ones picking up plastic colored balls and sorting them by color as if they were helping mom and dad birds collect their eggs. The final game is Keepy Uppy, which is where guests try to keep soft balloon-like balls in the air. The balls have pictures of flying creatures such as butterflies, so you’ll definitely want to help them gently float along! Here are some photos of the various games, with Bluey and Bingo making their way through the crowd during the 10-14 minute experience. The experience ends with a dance party under a bubble shower.

After the bubble shower dance party is over, Bluey and Bingo are called back by their mom and dad, and guests are asked to exit the area so the next wave can come in and start it all over again some 3-5 minutes later.

Meeting Bluey and Bingo

There is no proper Bluey and Bingo meet and greet. The only way to interact with the Heeler sisters is during the Bluey’s Wild World interactive show. That said, Bluey and Bingo work the room really well. If you want to get a photo with your little one next to Bluey or Bingo, you should be able to maneuver around to snap a quick photo during the games.

The Australian Animals

As part of the experience, guests can step outside Conservation Station to encounter animals native to Australia, connecting Bluey’s homeland to the park’s wildlife mission. For more on Jumping Junction, check out our earlier article.

Bluey Merchandise at Animal Kingdom

Bluey merchandise is available at two locations inside the park: Island Mercantile on Discovery Island and Conservation Station. Both carry the Bluey apparel lineup, while Conservation Station also stocks select baby care essentials. Two additional items, Bluey and Bingo Create Your Own Plush and Bluey and Bingo Plush Headbands, are expected to arrive later this summer.

Bluey Food and Drinks

Bluey-themed food and beverages are available at select locations across Animal Kingdom, with Pizzafari serving as the main hub for themed eats. We have a full breakdown of the Bluey food and drink offerings in a separate article.

Is Bluey’s Wild World Worth It?

Bluey’s Wild World is sure to be a smash hit with kids during the experience. What remains a question, and what wasn’t answered today, was the crowd situation.

While there was a standby queue in place today, most of the guests at Animal Kingdom didn’t know that the experience was even open (by design). Tomorrow, guests will be coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom specifically to experience Bluey’s Wild World. There will be a Virtual Queue in place, which should allow Disney to manage crowds well. If crowds are managed well and guests don’t have to wait more than 20-30 minutes to experience Bluey’s Wild World when they arrive at Conservation Station, this will be a success. Heck, once your little ones are playing games and dancing around with Bluey, it won’t matter how long you wait.

Bluey’s Wild World is part of Cool Kids’ Summer, but Disney has confirmed the experience will continue beyond the seasonal event. Guests who can’t make it this summer will have more chances down the road. We’ll keep covering it as more details develop.
