The Train Is Back After a Three-Month Closure

As we reported in February, the Wildlife Express Train closed on February 23, 2026, alongside Conservation Station to allow construction work for Bluey’s Wild World to begin. After more than three months offline, the train is moving again, just in time for Bluey’s Wild World’s official May 26 debut.

Today’s soft opening gives guests an early look at the full experience, audio and all.

What’s New on the Train

The outbound journey from Harambe to Conservation Station now features characters and music from the Bluey series woven throughout the ride.

The new audio still covers the educational beats that have long been part of the Wildlife Express experience. As the train passes the animal care facilities, the narration explains that the animals roaming the savannah by day return here each night for feeding and care. A segment on the importance of animal play leans into the experience that young ones will soon enjoy at Bluey’s Wild World.

The audio also gives a specific shoutout to Jumping Junction, directing younger guests to the area where they can encounter kangaroos and wallabies.

On the return trip to Harambe, the original narration plays. That audio traces the conservation legacy behind Disney’s Animal Kingdom, from Walt Disney’s True Life Adventure series through Disney Nature films, and closes with a reminder that preserving nature begins with each guest.

Here’s our video of the full round-trip experience.

Planning Your Visit

The Wildlife Express Train remains the only way to reach Conservation Station and Bluey’s Wild World. The station is located near Harambe Market in the Africa section of the park. Only folding strollers are permitted on board, so plan accordingly if you’re visiting with young children.

Today, the train is operating on a standby basis only. Starting tomorrow, May 26, guests will need to join the virtual queue through the My Disney Experience app before boarding. Queue drops are at 7:00am and 10:00am daily, and the experience runs from 8:30am to 3:45pm.

Worth noting: as we’ve covered, when the virtual queue is active, it covers the full package, including the train itself. There’s no bypassing the virtual queue to reach Conservation Station on your own.
