A new color scheme has debuted at Rockettoewr Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom. It’s currently unknown if the latest changes are part of a larger refresh for the unused outdoor stage or not, but we stopped by Magic Kingdom recently to take a look!
First, here’s a look back at the area 10 days ago when we first noticed that temporary construction walls were installed around the stage. Pay special attention to the color of the base of the supports in the distance.
And here’s a look at the recent changes. The support base covers have changed from silver/grey to a light blue. There were no other color changes during our visit, but it’s possible that the entire area will get a visual refresh.
Ultimately, it would be pretty great if Disney was refreshing the largely unused entertainment space for a new offering, but Disney hasn’t announced anything for the space. We expect that entertainment will be a big part of Disney’s “answer” to Universal’s Epic Universe theme park opening next year, and perhaps Rockettower Plaza Stage will finally get used during daily operations again.
