While Walt Disney World has released a lot of information about the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom including information about a Virtual Queue and Lightning Lane access, one question that we’ve been getting is about the status of the ride during Disney World’s Extended Evening Hours perk for Deluxe Resort guests.
Disney World has updated many of its pages with info about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but the attraction is missing from the Extended Evening Hours page. Normally, that wouldn’t be cause for concern, but there is no Extended Evening Hours information on the Virtual Queue page – a break from tradition when compared to TRON Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
BlogMickey.com has reached out to Disney World for clarification, but we have not received a response. With no information as to how Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will operate during Extended Evening Hours, questions remain such as will Tiana’s Bayou Adventure be included in Extended Evening Hours? or will Tiana’s Bayou Adventure utilize a Virtual Queue during Extended Evening Hours?
Interestingly, Disney World has said that they only plan on using a Virtual Queue for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure “during the attraction’s initial opening days”, so if we had to place bets, it would be that a Virtual Queue will not be utilized during Extended Evening Hours. The first Extended Evening Hours after Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is currently scheduled for July 3rd. It’s possible that Disney World will want to keep the Virtual Queue in place during normal operating hours through the Fourth of July holiday, but perhaps they will utilize standby during Extended Evening Hours – we’ll have to wait and see.
Note that Frontierland is not open during Early Entry at Magic Kingdom, and we don’t necessarily expect that to change when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens June 28th. That said, we’ll keep you updated on the status of the attraction during Extended Evening Hours if Disney World updates its website, or returns our requests for more information.

I noticed June 19th, a MK Extended Evening Hours day, is not a pass holder or DVC preview day. I wonder the thinking here. Could a VQ be open at 6pm for deluxe resort guests ahead of official opening?
June 19th is a DVC preview day, but only in the morning. That said, I think it might be unlikely that it will be open during the Extended Evening Hours date. Hopefully we get some more info from Disney World soon
