After Two Years Missing, A Ghost Returns to The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom

After being missing since Spring/Summer 2022, a ghost has returned to the graveyard at The Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom. The ghost, who is still missing his picnic partner, sits at a table with a candelabra (the candelabra?) under the moonlight flooding the graveyard scene.

The figure, which was not animated when we visited yesterday, will eventually propose a toast once his partner arrives. Cast Members at the attraction expected a slow process, with work wrapping up on this scene before the end of the year.

The Haunted Mansion has received quite a bit of love over the past few years. Of course, the most publicized addition was that of the Hatbox Ghost back in November 2023, but other refreshes included an updated look for Madame Leota, the return of a mummy in the graveyard, and the addition of Rolly Crump’s Candle Man figure.

It’s great to see a classic attraction receive some attention, and we hope that it continues to receive updates in the coming years (even if Disney’s attention shifts to the nearby Frontierland expansion).
