Construction Expands, Early Closures Continue at The Seas Pavilion in EPCOT

It’s been a little while since we last checked in on The Seas Pavilion construction at EPCOT, so we decided to pop in during a recent visit to the park. As it turns out, construction has expanded a bit since we last dropped by, and early closures of the pavilion will continue into the Summer. Here’s what we know.

Construction Expands at The Seas Pavilion in EPCOT

As you can see in our photos below, not only have construction walls surrounded both escalators, but there are some new construction walls along a tunnel to the circular viewing area on the second floor. Here’s a complete look around.

Early Closures Continue

In addition to the expanded construction, early closures for the pavilion are scheduled to continue through at least mid-June, according to the Walt Disney World website. The Seas Pavilion is scheduled to close at 7pm for the foreseeable future. It is believed that the early closures allow for construction to take place after the pavilion closes to guests, but before any quiet hours needed for the animals.

Early closures of The Seas Pavilion began earlier this year, and with no known end date for the construction taking place, we expect that early closures will continue as long as there is construction taking place at the location.

  1. Spoke to a Seas cast member a few weeks ago who said the early closures are because of construction. Because apparently the construction lights need to be turned off by 9:00 to allow the fish to have their sleep hours. Not sure how accurate that is, take it with a grain of salt
