When Does Walt Disney World Decorate Magic Kingdom for the Holiday Season?

|

With Halloween upon us, it’s almost time to turn our attention to the 2025 Holiday Season at Walt Disney World. As the only theme park to really dress up for Halloween, it’s magical to watch Magic Kingdom transform from one holiday to the next, sometimes overnight. For guests planning their early November visit, a popular question to ask is: When does Magic Kingdom decorate for the holidays? Well, Walt Disney World recently announced a date!

Magic Kingdom Decorated for the Holidays

According to Walt Disney World, the first holiday decorations will arrive at Magic Kingdom on Sunday, November 2nd this year. This breaks with recent tradition, where it is Halloween one night, and Christmas the next morning. This year, there will be a full day between the end of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on October 31st and the arrival of the first holiday season decorations on November 2nd.

The announcement was made by the Disney Parks Instagram account. While decorating on November 2nd isn’t unheard of, it is typically only during years where Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ends on November 1st. That’s not the case this year.
