E-Ticket Merchandise Display Pays Homage to World Showcase Transportation Bus of Yesteryear at EPCOT

Every once in a while, a merchandise display comes along that is so excellent, it not only outshines the merchandise it is displaying, but it deserves an article and photo shoot all to itself. The World Showcase Transportation bus at EPCOT is one such merchandise display. We made it out to EPCOT today and decided to pop in to the Disney Traders shop to snap some photos of the new display.

World Showcase Transportation Bus Merchandise Display

The bus commands the Disney Traders shopping venue, with many of the merchandise stands removed to make way for a display that is taller than I thought it would be. All told, it may be some 12 feet tall. While the contents of the display case matter little, it features pins and the EPCOT Passport, among other items.

The bus, as you may already know, is modeled after the old World Showcase Transportation buses of yesteryear. In fact, we’ll turn to Yesterland for a look back at the buses as they were in use at EPCOT back in the 1980s.

As you can see, the merchandise display below features the same wording on the side, a gold railing for the second deck, and similar trim designs. In the merchandise display, Mickey Mouse and Pluto are perched atop the bus, along with their luggage and passport stickers from around World Showcase. Here’s a closer look!
