We took a late afternoon stroll through Animal Kingdom yesterday to enjoy some lower crowd levels due to Hurricane Hermine, 150 miles away. As part of our evening, we checked in on Pandora: The World of Avatar construction.
The peaks of the mountains no longer have scaffolding.
The vine work is just as impressive as the rock work and will truly immerse the guest in that world. Like everything else at Animal Kingdom, I think Pandora will be as convincing as it will be beautiful.
While the majority of the land has been well documented over the years of construction, we did notice a newly uncovered section. Just over the bridge, near the recently opened Tiffins, stands a very interesting piece of rock work. It was covered in our last update, but we can now see it peeking up over the walls.
Here’s a look at what we think it will end up looking like thanks to a great picture of the D23 model from damouse.
When Pandora: The World of Avatar opens to guests a big selling point of the land will the the bioluminescent forests to walk through. We think that this plant will be a wonderful gateway welcome to the new land.
