MouseGear Continues to be Ripped Open; Pin Traders Days Are Numbered at Epcot

Our daily pilgrimage to Epcot took us to the monorail for an elevated look over the construction walls at the now-shuttered “Epcot Spine”, basically everything from Innoventions East to what’s left of Innoventions West, Spaceship Earth to the closed Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure.

We’ll work around the Innoventions plaza somewhat systematically, starting with what’s left of Innoventions West. Even though the walls went up just yesterday, we haven’t seen a single piece of Innoventions West demolished from what we’ve seen in previous updates. That said, the northwest section of Innoventions won’t be around for long as Disney looks to prepare the space for Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana.

Making our way towards MouseGear, we can see that heavy machinery is lurking ominously next to Pin Traders. We imagine the high tension cables and shade structures might require a bit more care when dismantling, so Pin Traders might have to wait for those to come down first.

Over at MouseGear, we can see more windows have been blown out as the structure continues to be gutted. All concept art shows the structure remaining at the end of the work, although Disney is completely reimagining the interior and probably trying to get as close to a blank slate as possible.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to cover the Epcot Overhaul Project and much more from around the Disney Parks.
