Rotunda Bistro Review
Chilled Smoked Shrimp Salad – $6.25
We’ll start with the Smoked Shrimp Salad. A whole shrimp is placed on top, while chunks of shrimp can be found inside. It looks like a small portion, but it’s actually quite a bit of shrimp – maybe 3 in total.
If you’re looking for chilled shrimp (and you probably will be after a few hot hours in EPCOT), this offering should be refreshing.
Wild Mushroom and Truffle Tart – $5.00
Served with Gruyère and Crème Fraîche
The pastry was perfectly presented, flaky and light. The mushroom was certainly present, but we didn’t taste any truffle.
Chilled Crab and Avocado Parfait – $6.50
Served with Caviar
Layers of crab and avocado make for another refreshing cup of flavor.
Domaine Carneros Cuvée Brut Rosé, California – $8.50
A dry rose had quite a bit of zing at the end, bordering on sour, which is an odd descriptor for this type of drink. It’s not a bad offering and pairs well with the food items.
Rotunda Bistro clearly isn’t a fully fledged concept yet, but it is another welcome indoor Global Marketplace that either gets you out of the heat or out of the rain (or both).
