Space Mountain Experiencing Extended Downtime Today at Magic Kingdom

Space Mountain has been closed all day today at Magic Kingdom.

The closure was likely foreseen by Disney, with the following prepared push message sent out by Magic Kingdom Vice President Jason Kirk:

On behalf of the entire team at the Magic Kingdom park, I’d like to apologize that Space Mountain is currently unavailable. Our Cast Members are working diligently to get the attraction up and running again, and we are sorry that you are not able to experience this attraction at this time. I hope you enjoy some of our other attractions during your experience in the park today.

The unexpected closure of Space Mountain joins unexpected closures for Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster and Frozen Ever After this month.
