Disney World has rolled out a new feature within the My Disney Experience app that should greatly simplify the process of linking new people to your “Friends and Family” section of the app. Previously, an email had to be sent to an address on file, which was then used to approve or deny a request. The email was spotty at times and really cumbersome to use for the linking process. Now, Disney has a unique code that guests can enter within the My Disney Experience app to complete the linking process. The code even comes with a scannable QR code to speed up the process. The option to scan another person’s code is also available within the “Add a Guest” section of the app. Everything is found within the “My Profile” or “My Account” section of the app menu.
