Disney KiteTails will have its final performance as a “show” on May 26th. After that, KiteTails will be more of an ambiance experience, dropping performers and formal performance times. Here’s what Disney has had to say about the change in the presentation:
Just in time for summer fun, we’re shifting the focus of the show so guests will be able to experience “Disney KiteTails” from anywhere around the Discovery River Lagoon, with shorter and more frequent performances throughout the day.
With summer heat kicking in, guests are seeking shade that simply doesn’t exist in the Discovery River Theater. Check out this photo from friend of the site bioreconstruct showing guests seeking shade over “ideal” seats.
The new experience will be better thought of as another aspect to the ongoing character flotilla offerings instead of a show that you will want to attend.
