Like a corner of the living room that you’re just not sure what to do with, the Rosewalk section of World Celebration seems to be getting another flex space facelift as construction progresses next to the Imagination Pavilion. The Rosewalk, while not a widely communicated term, describes the walkway that runs past the Imagination Pavilion and connects World Celebration to World Showcase. We’ve seen a few uses for this area over the years, from Festival kiosks to playgrounds, and now, home to the Disney100 mural on the construction walls.

While visiting EPCOT recently, we stopped by to check on the construction and found that there was some notable progress including hardscape, landscape, and lighting. Most of the construction site remains dirt, but will soon be developed and hopefully open in time for the Festival of the Arts or Flower & Garden Festival this Spring.

It looks like the area might be separated into distinct zones, with these columns perhaps acting as a transition point between zones. If we had to guess, we’d imagine that Disney would like to introduce another playground and food kiosk in this area, but we’re hoping for something a bit more imaginative.

There’s still plenty of work left before the hardscape is complete and we have a better idea of what this area will be utilized for in 2024.
