Disney to Question CFTOD Administrator Glen Gilzean in Ongoing Reedy Creek Lawsuit

Disney has set a new deposition date for Central Florida Tourism Oversight District Administrator Glen Gilzean. Disney was previously scheduled to depose Gilzean back in late January, but the District canceled the deposition at the last minute.

According to Disney, the District previously canceled the deposition at noon on the day before it was scheduled, saying that Gilzean retained separate counsel and that he would not be attending the planned deposition. Disney says that the District apologized and said that they would reschedule, but that no new counsel had been identified and that a new deposition date was not immediately identified.

Now, Disney has filed a notice saying that they will hold a videotaped deposition for Gilzean on April 9th in the ongoing state-level lawsuit that was originally brought by the District against Disney, but that Disney then countersued.

Gilzean was appointed to the District Administrator position in May 2023 and has had a few speedbumps along the way. Including a disagreement about his need to resign from the Florida Commission on Ethics, questions of inside dealing, and some hypocritical statements.
