Walt Disney World has announced that they have ended Disney Park Pass theme park reservation restrictions put in place on Annual Passholders for the debut of the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade. The restrictions were put in place from July 20th through July 27th, and have ended, effective immediately. Here’s the announcement:
Walt Disney World Ends Passholder Park Pass Restrictions for Disney Starlight Debut
Annual Passholders may visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation on a good-to-go day or after 2:00 PM (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom park). The limited-time theme park reservation requirements for Magic Kingdom park—which were in place from July 20 to July 27, 2025—have ended.
Here’s a look back at the Disney Park Pass reservation restrictions that were put in place for Annual Passholders exclusively:
- For a Limited Time: Due to anticipated high demand for the new Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade, Passholders visiting Magic Kingdom park at any time of day (including after 2:00 PM) must have a theme park reservation. Passholders may enter EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park after 2:00 PM without a theme park reservation.
- Check Back for Updates: After this limited-time period, Annual Passholders may visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation on a good-to-go day or after 2:00 PM (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom park). 
That restriction has now ended, and the regular restrictions are in place.
As a reminder, if any Walt Disney World Annual Passholder wants to enter a Walt Disney World theme park before 2pm, they will have to make a Disney Park Pass reservation. The only exception to that is on Good to Go dates, which allow all-day access without the need to make a reservation. Additionally, Annual Passholders wishing to visit Magic Kingdom on Saturday or Sunday will have to make a theme park reservation regardless of time of day. Park Hopping is allowed all day long.
