Crews continue to make wonderful early progress on the transformation of the former Muppets Courtyard area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios into a Monsters Inc.-themed land. Recently, crews covered the MuppetVision 3D sign and continued removing props from the exterior of the building. We made it out to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to take a look!
MuppetVision 3D Sign Covered
First, here’s a look back at the MuppetVision 3D facade prior to the area closing permanently to guests earlier this year.
And here’s a look at the area from our visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Not only has the marquee been covered, but Gonzo was also removed from the clock at the top of the facade.
Here’s a look at the latest concept art for the upcoming Monsters Inc. Land, showing a transformation of the MuppetVision 3D show building into “The Glob”, which Disney says will host “a whole new theater show”. The new Monsters Inc. Land will also feature a brand new family roller coaster, which will take guests through the iconic door vault scene in the Monsters Inc. film.
