While visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently, we stopped by to check in on the progress of transforming the Muppets Courtyard into the Monsters Inc. Monstropolis. We could certainly hear the work before we could see it as crews were performing heavy facade modifications on the MuppetVision 3D building. Here’s a look around!
MuppetVision 3D & PizzeRizzo Facade Modifications
We’ll start with a look at the former MuppetVision 3D facade. As you can see, crews were busy cutting into the facade as they prepare it for a transformation into The Glob. Walt Disney World has previously said that there will be a “theater show” in this space.
Back in October 2025, we reported on the fact that the theater show was omitted from a Walt Disney Imagineering description of the Monstropolis land. In fact, the marquee had changed from “Late Night Screams” into “Meet Monstropolis”. At the time, we speculated that the concept for the venue had changed. Walt Disney World later said that there were no changes to the plans and that there will be a theater show in this space. Exact details about the show have not yet been released.
Either way, modifications are now underway on the building, with crews working on cutting into the facade to support the new marquee seen in the concept art above.
PizzeRizzo Building Modifications
In addition to the crews cutting into the former MuppetVision 3D building, heavy modifications are underway on the building that was the former home of PizzeRizzo. Unlike the MuppetVision 3D building, we don’t know what is coming to the former PizzeRizzo venue. That said, we can start to get an idea of how extensive the modifications will be to the exterior.
