Good morning from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where there is a very busy construction site for the all-new Encanto attraction in the former DinoLand USA area. As you may know, DinoLand USA is being replaced by a Tropical Americas-themed land that will celebrate Central America stories, including Encanto and Indiana Jones. Today, we’re getting an updated look at the construction of the ride building for Encanto. Let’s go!
Encanto Ride Building Steel Construction
The first piece of vertical steel was placed back on December 4th for the Encanto ride. The next day, Walt Disney Imagineering shared a video of the first vertical pieces being placed. Now, we’re back at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to find quite a bit of progress over the past 10 days.

Plans for an Encanto-themed attraction being part of the Tropical Americas project were first announced in September 2023 at the Destination D23 event. Since then, Disney has offered new details and confirmed that the concept is moving forward at the 2024 D23 Expo.
