Shanghai Disney Resort has shared a first look sneak peek at track installation for an all-new Spider-Man roller coaster. The sneak peek is the latest milestone for Shanghai Disney as the work to bring an entire Spider-Man-themed land to the resort. Here’s the latest!
First Look at Spider-Man Roller Coaster Track Installation
Before we take a look at the roller coaster track for this all-new Spider-Man attraction, let’s get a quick recap of the project and where we are so far.
First announced at the 2024 D23 Expo, Shanghai Disneyland is building the first-ever Spider-Man-themed land. The land will be anchored by a Spider-Man roller coaster. During the ride, guests will follow Spider-Man at very high speeds as they try to escape trouble.
Shanghai Disney broke ground on the Spider-Man land back in May 2025 as the third major expansion of Shanghai Disneyland since the park opened nearly a decade ago. By September 2025, the Spider-Man roller coaster went vertical. When completed, the Spider-Man land will be the ninth themed land at Shanghai Disneyland.
Located adjacent to Zootopia, the brand-new land includes the park’s first major Marvel-themed attraction – a high-energy thrill coaster featuring Spider-Man. Guests will also be surrounded by Spider-Man and friends with shopping, food and beverages, and entertainment experiences.
Now, Shanghai Disneyland has reached another major milestone with the installation of the roller coaster track. Actually, the roller coaster track installation began back in January, but this is the first image shared from the resort since work began.

Shanghai Disney Resort has not announced an official opening date for the Spider-Man roller coaster, but it is believed that the coaster will open in the second half of 2027.
Shanghai Disney could be in the news this Summer as rumors heat up that the resort could announce plans for a second theme park as it approaches its 10th anniversary in June.
