While visiting Magic Kingdom recently, we noticed that new construction walls have arrived, signaling the final stretch of work to remove classic railings and pavement from the Transportation & Ticket Center. Here’s a closer look!
Final Classic Railings & Pavement Being Removed at Transportation & Ticket Center
Construction walls first appeared at the Transportation & Ticket Center around a number of ticketing kiosks in August 2025. The construction walls spanned three ticketing kiosk clusters, while other ticketing kiosks remained open to guests based on demand. The project has since moved methodically through the space, pausing during high-attendance periods to minimize disruption to guest flow.
Progress became more visible in the fall, when construction walls shifted from the far left side of the ticketing kiosks to the far right side. With that shift came the first clear look at what the refurbishment was delivering: the railings that had been in place since at least the turn of the century were removed, and the themed pavement was replaced with a standard gray.
