After closing on July 20th, the Grand Floridian Cafe welcomes guests back about 15 weeks later. Dining reservations and updated hours on the Walt Disney World website had pointed to November 2nd since early September, and Disney now confirms it. The photos show a brighter dining room to go with the new menu.

Disney sums up the reopening this way: “Grand new flavors are flourishing over at the Grand Floridian Cafe.” Four dishes are highlighted:

  • Apple Butter Cinnamon Roll
    Topped with cinnamon-caramel crumb.
  • The Club
House-roasted turkey, carved ham, bacon, herbed cheese spread, crispy onions, and tomato focaccia, served with house-seasoned steak fries.
  • Cobb Salad
Romaine, house-roasted turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, egg, and blue cheese, with cobb dressing.
  • Fried Green Tomatoes
    Served with remoulade sauce.

Photos show each dish up close. The club stacks turkey and ham between slices of tomato focaccia. Steak fries sit in a metal cup beside a pickle spear and a dipping sauce. Rows of bacon, egg, blue cheese, turkey, tomato, and sliced avocado fill the Cobb salad bowl. Fried green tomatoes come breaded and topped with arugula, red onion, and halved cherry tomatoes. A thick glaze and a heavy scattering of crumb cover the cinnamon roll.

A Brighter Dining Room

Pale green latticework extends overhead and along the room dividers, with white columns, brass-framed shelves holding blue-and-white porcelain, and floral banquettes along the walls. Coral chairs sit at white-topped tables with gold edging, and lemon topiaries add a bright accent near the columns. Here’s a before/after of the changes.

Disney has not said what changed from the previous design, so these photos are the first look at the new room. We expected new theming to match the resort’s recent refresh, and the photos bear that out.

Brunch and Resort Work Around the Cafe

Cรญtricos has served brunch while the cafe sat closed, as we reported when Disney announced the refurbishment. We expect it to move back to the cafe’s first-floor space now that the room is reopening.

Renovations elsewhere at the resort, including the covered entrance, continue through early 2027, according to Disney. Guests may still see work or take alternate walking paths around the property.
