A November 2nd Return
Updated operating hours and dining reservation availability on the Walt Disney World website point to a November 2nd reopening for the Grand Floridian Cafe. Disney has not issued a separate announcement confirming the exact date. Both listings align with the closure window Disney laid out when the refurbishment was first announced.
The notable thing here is that the Grand Floridian Cafe has dinner hours beginning November 2nd. Prior to that, only brunch hours are listed. This follows the pattern that first hinted at an exact closing date back in July. The absence of dinner hours indicated a closure, so the return of dinner hours indicates a reopening.
Located on the first floor of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the cafe has sat closed since July 20th. Disney had said the refurbishment would run from mid-July through October, so a November 2nd return keeps the project within roughly the timeline the company originally set.
Other areas of the resort have remained open during the Cafe’s closure. Renovations to select spots at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, including the covered entrance, will continue through early 2027. Guests may still encounter construction work or altered walking paths around the property even after the cafe reopens.
It is expected that the Grand Floridian Cafe will have some new theming when it reopens, consistent with the refresh that Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has enjoyed recently.
Brunch Returns From Cítricos
Brunch service never fully stopped during the Grand Floridian Cafe’s closure. Disney moved the meal upstairs to Cítricos for the duration of the refurbishment. Other dining locations at the resort remained open.
With a November 2nd reopening on the horizon, brunch should move back to the cafe’s usual first-floor space once the refurbished venue welcomes guests again.
