In an effort to get resort guests to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in time to secure a Rise of the Resistance boarding group, Disney has extended the operating hours for the Disney Skyliner gondola system. The extension also aligns with the earlier operating hours for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here are the updated operating hours for all three lines of the Disney Skyliner gondola system.
December 13-21: 6:45am to 10:30pm
Of course, while the Disney Skyliner gondola system has improved reliability since opening, our advice is still to allow for plenty of time when using the system. We think that the vast majority of guests will be able to rely on the system, but there have still been plenty of reports of extended stops upwards of 30 minutes or more.
While our Rise of the Resistance virtual queue boarding group guide calls for an earlier arrival than 6:45am if you want to ensure that you ride early in the day, these updated hours should be ok for guests simply looking to ride at some point during their day. All Rise of the Resistance boarding groups were distributed shortly before 8am today, December 13th.
As outlined in our Rise of the Resistance virtual queue boarding group guide, the early bird gets the worm, so we’re happy to see that Disney is recognizing that too and offering guests additional transportation options beyond ride sharing and earlier Minnie Van operating hours.
