Disney World Now Allowing Annual Passholders to Book Three Days in Addition to Resort Stays After Policy Reversal

A controversial policy that, once again, left Annual Passholders feeling slighted during the phased reopening of the theme parks has officially been reversed.

As we reported back on June 26th, Annual Passholders were forced to make a choice between getting Disney Park Pass theme park reservations for their on-site resort stay, or the three days that they were allowed to book as an Annual Passholder.

The policy wasn’t thought out very well by Disney, with many Annual Passholders expressing their frustrations on social media. The policy effectively rendered an Annual Pass useless if guests made a resort hotel reservation. For example, if an Annual Passholder wanted to make a resort reservation for January, they would have to choose between securing theme park reservations for their January trip or, literally, any date between now and then, they couldn’t hold both. Disney has now reversed that policy, writing the following:

UPDATED – Annual Passholders staying at select Disney Resort or other select hotels with valid theme park admission are eligible to make theme park reservations for each day of their stay(s), and now in addition, all Annual Passholders are eligible to make theme park reservations for up to 3 days at a time on a rolling basis. Once you use a theme park reservation, you can make another reservation for a future date.

This update comes as Disney looks to fill what has been a largely vacant resort guest reservation availability calendar. As of publish time, all theme park reservation dates are available for Disney resort hotel guests.
