Disney World Adds More Theme Park Availability for Cast Members Through October 1st, Including Fridays and Sundays

Disney has recently updated their Cast Member blockout calendar to include more opportunities for Cast Members to visit the Disney World theme parks. When compared to our previous update about the blockouts, we can see that Disney has opened up dates through October 1st, including Fridays and Sundays.

The calendar also shows dates through December, but that’s fairly insignificant because Disney is only updating the availability a few weeks in advance. What is potentially significant is the inclusion of Fridays and Sundays. For more on weekend wait time trends, check out our earlier post.

Typically, we see Disney open up Cast Member availability when they’re confident that attendance won’t be negatively impacted by Cast Members taking up Disney Park Pass spots. Opening up availability on Fridays and Sundays could indicate lowered attendance on those days as September faces overall lower crowds after the Labor Day rush. As with previous updates, Hollywood Studios remains blocked out.
