Disney Foreshadows More “Inclusion” Projects in the Theme Parks

In a virtual conference today, Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro gave a wide ranging update on the state of the Disney theme parks. In the update, D’Amaro discussed the company-wide initiative to incorporate “Inclusion” into their Cast Member training. Earlier, we looked at how Disney has fast-tracked the Princess and the Frog reimagining for Splash Mountain, and now, we have a quote from D’Amaro that foreshadows even more change coming to the parks.

When talking about the Princess and the Frog attraction, D’Amaro said that the change to focus on inclusivity for their guests, said that the Princess and the Frog retheming “has been in the works for quite some time, isn’t the last. There will be more to come”.

D’Amaro didn’t elaborate more on that point or say which attractions, experiences, or themes might change to reflect a more inclusive Disney Parks experience for all guests.
