Yes, there’s plenty to eat and see at the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, but did you know you can paint too? The Expression Section is a paint-by-numbers experience at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts that invites guests to work together to create a mural throughout the event. The Expression Section is a returning offering from years past. The Expression Section paint-by-numbers experience is free and available from 11am to 5pm, daily. Guests wishing to partake in the experience can find supplies at the Expression Section kiosk near the wall along the main walkway from World Celebration to World Showcase. Here’s a look!

Guests can pick up a brush and a small cup of paint at the kiosk before getting in line to paint the Expression Section wall. The cups of paint will be labeled with a number that corresponds to a square on the wall. When we visited, Cast Members asked us to paint no more than six squares.

Here’s a look at the designs that guests will paint throughout the Festival of the Arts. The designs will be rotated throughout the festival, and feature stylized scenes from EPCOT.

Here’s a look at the Expression Section paint-by-numbers mural. The mural is along a World Celebration construction wall and has been moved further south than its location in previous years in World Nature. Construction walls in World Nature have changed due to ongoing work for Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana.

Depending on crowd levels, guests will be directed to a number on the ground to stand on or near when painting. This allows everyone to have their own space while painting.
